The Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association
recently presented Governor Ralph Northam and
First Lady Pamela Northam with a Christmas tree
and wreath; December is Christmas Tree Month.
Traffic may be stopped every 15 minutes on Saturday,
as work crews install traffic signal mast arms at the
intersection of Shore Drive and Stratford Road. The
work will be done from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., if no rain.

Putting book jackets to good use
When the Old Donation School student library realized that it had an abundance
of unused book jackets on hand, it decided to repurpose them by putting them
to work in the school's makerspace for the holidays, so that students may use
them to create gifts of kindness and to promote literacy.
