Three people shot Sat. night at Oceanfront, two of them seriously
Police treated a woman at 19th Street and the boardwalk, with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, last night around 11:41 p.m. before she was taken by EMS to a local hospital. There are no suspects.
Virginia Beach police are also investigating two incidents in which gunfire resulted in serious injuries to the victims.
At 12:44 a.m., officers were in the immediate vicinity of the 1900 block of Pacific Avenue when multiple shots were fired and a woman sustained a life-threatening wound. EMS treated and transported her to a hospital, a possible suspect is being detained and the investigation is ongoing.
At 12:48 p.m., officers were notified that a victim, who had sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound, was located in the 300 block of 16th Street. Officers responded immediately and EMS treated and transported the individual to the hospital for further treatment.
The investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects.
At 2:30 a.m., investigators determined that the victim located on 16th Street was injured during the events that occurred on 19th St and traveled to 16th Street after he sustained the injury.
Saturday night's shooting do not appear to be related to Friday's night shooting in which a man was charged with felonious assault and use of a firearm.
