CHWC's Christmas in the Country has baked goods, crafts and stew
The 56th annual Christmas in the Country Open House is set for Saturday, Dec. 8, at the home of Pat and Jim Stallings, 920 Winwood Drive, in Virginia Beach's Linlier neighborhood.
The open house includes, a tour of the home, a homemade bake sale, a homemade craft shop sale and a homemade Brunswick Stew sale.
Tickets may be bought ahead of time from club members or at the door. Guests are requested to wear flat shoes, to protect the new floors.
Valet parking and an elevator are available, on site.
Built in 1951, the 6,296 square-foot, multi-family home sits on a 1.48-acre lot and features six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

The Cape Henry Woman's Club sponsors the annual holiday event to provide for three, $4,000 scholarships ($1,000 a year for a four-year college education), a $500 scholarship to a nursing student at Tidewater Vocational and Educational Center, a $100 award to an outstanding student at the center and annual gifts, to about two dozen community organizations.
All of the money that is raised is distributed by the end of the club's business year.
