Cox HS Marching Falcons now two-time state champions after winning contest in Salem

The Cox High School Marching Falcons concluded their season with a first place win in the Virginia Marching Band Cooperative Championships last weekend in Salem, Va.


Overcoming weather, time constraints, and tough competition, the Falcons managed to secure victory over Princess Anne, Franklin County, Brookville, and Bath County High Schools, respectively.


The team took home 1st place prizes in the best effect and best visual categories, as well as, first place in their class, making them the two-time defending Virginia Marching Band Cooperative Group 2 Champions.


"It was a great final competition," sophomore Amy Horvath said. "I'm so proud of my team for defending our championship title!"
