Two adults, seven children, dog, forced out by Indian Lakes fire

Virginia Beach firefighters responded yesterday at 4:44 p.m., to a residential fire in the 4800 block of Cliffony Drive in Indian Lakes.

 

When units arrived on the scene, they encountered heavy smoke and fire.

 

The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes and was declared out at 6:24 p.m.

 

Two adults, seven children and the family dog were forced to seek new housing and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

 

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

 

The fire’s cause is under investigation.
