Old Donation School's KidWind team placed third nationally, second regionally, in the 2018 National KidWind Challenge at the AWEA Windpower 2018 conference, held recently in Chicago.

"The challenge is the ultimate wind energy learning experience for students," said coach Hemiao Zhang. "By participating, they learn the promise and limitations of wind energy technology; design, build and test a functional. creative wind turbine and compete with peers in a supportive environment."
