Arrowhead Elementary School's STEM team, made up of 15, third- to fifth-graders, won first place recently for the E-Portfolios category at the school's STEM competition.  The group is led by Jack Babcock and Karen Bennett.​





Cox High School students with disabilities, who work daily in the school's Coffee Shop, came together recently with various clubs to hand make tie-dye bandannas to raise funds for Autism Awareness.  The finished bandannas were then sold for $3 each during morning Coffee Shop hours. Students, along with teachers Cheryl Taylor and Lee Hayes, were given the opportunity to present a check for $100 to a representative from the Autism Society of Tidewater.




Bayside High School student Ichiki Miyazato recently placed first in the 2018 Mid Atlantic Association of Teachers of Japanese Haiku Contest.  Ichiki is pictured with Assistant Principal Nickerson. 




Arrowhead Elementary School first grade teacher, Barbara Dell, was honored recently at a banquet, as the school's Reading Teacher of the Year. She was escorted by her father, Joseph Cannon.​
