VB Fire Department urges motorists to beware of roads covered with water; drone shots from Sandbridge and Creeds fire companies

July 30, 2018

These photos were taken recently by the Virginia Beach Fire Department, which urges motorists to stay off any roads that appear to be covered with water. Call 311 if you know of a flooded roadway in Virginia Beach.

If you approach a road that appears to be covered with water, turn around and back in the direction from which you came.

Virginia Beach roads, streets and highways are considered "no wake zones" when they are covered with water.

Roads recently flooded in Virginia Beach include, Sandbridge Road, New Bridge Road and Muddy Creek Road.
