Four to eight inches of rain fell over Virginia Beach July 20 to 27

July 31, 2018

The National Weather Service in Wakefield, Va., reports that the amount of rainfall that fell from July 20 to 27 totaled about four to six inches in northern and central Virginia Beach, while the city’s southern corridor saw some six to eight inches.

It is not clear if that is a record amount.

Continued rain is in the regional forecast for the rest of the week.
