The Westin Town Center will be the site of a luncheon debate, between U.S. Rep. Scott Taylor and Democratic challenger, Elaine Luria, on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 11:30 a.m.
Sponsored by the Central Business District Association in Virginia Beach, the event is open to the public. Tickets are $40 for association members and $55 for non-members.
"Taylor rejected participating in a separate WHRO debate, arguing that the station wouldn't be a neutral forum," reports PilotOnline.com. "Taylor is seeking a second two-year term and Luria, a Norfolk businesswoman, is making her first run for elected office."
The 2nd District includes all of Virginia Beach, the state’s Eastern Shore, Norfolk’s north side and several localities on the Peninsula, including Williamsburg and York County.
