Happy Time Murders is fun; a mix of Muppets and Scarface

September 2, 2018

Hopefully, you were able to tell by the trailer that The Happy Time Murders is definitely not for kids; and it may not be for some adults.

I consider it to be a great concept for a movie and I found it quite enjoyable.

It's basically, The Muppets, combined with, Scarface, so you have a lot of cursing, scenes, with guns, and some happy puppets.

The comedy was spread throughout the film, but close to the end, it kind of faded out.

Yet, it had a good plot and I was happy with the overall product.

If you liked any of the Ted movies, then you will find pleasure with this one, also.

That's the review.

Plot summary: Detective Phil Philips is a down-on-his-luck puppet who used to work for the Los Angeles Police Department. When two puppets from an old television show wind up dead, Phil suspects something is afoot and rejoins the LAPD as a consultant. Reunited with Connie Edwards, his former human partner, the bickering duo soon find themselves in a race against time to protect other former cast members before the killer strikes again.
