The Lesner Bridge's new traffic lanes are open to the public. About a year behind schedule, the $120 million construction effort has resulted in two new bridge spans, each with two lanes, two shoulders and a multi-use path.

"Both parts of the new bridge will remain in the same traffic condition for the next several months, while a 10-foot wide path is finished on the westbound bridge," reports PilotOnline.com. "Pedestrians and cyclists will not be able to cross on the westbound bridge until it is completed – the last stage in the construction project – but the new 10-foot wide path on the eastbound bridge can be used."
