Richard W. Watts died Sunday after swimming; another body ID'ed

Richard William Watts, 58, apparently drowned this past Sunday afternoon after swimming in the ocean at 34th Street. Citizens on the beach saw the victim and tried to rescue him from the water.

 

Emergency medical crews responded to the scene, at 34th Street and Atlantic Avenue, and attempted to revive him; he was taken to a local hospital, where he died. 

 

Also, on Sept. 26, the body of Luis Martin Mijares Acero was found at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story, reports PilotOnline.com. Mijares Acero, 26, went missing at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Sept. 22.
