Initially, I was thinking that Serenity would be a waste of time. It showed some potential in the first seven minutes and then, about halfway through the film, it truly became, weird.
In this case, I mean "weird" as in pointless, far off track and just boring.
Simultaneously, by the time Matthew McConaughey's character realizes that his world had too many flaws, I realized that the movie was taking too long to get going and that my first impression of it was actually quite correct.
Serenity was a waste of time and money, also.
The whole cast was a team of heavy-hitters, who played their roles to their outstanding skill sets, but this tragedy was, once again, the fault of the script writers.
I love seeing McConaughey perform, but this production is best for the trash can. Not worth the ticket price. That's the review.
