Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow excited about teaching in VB

September 6, 2019

For 31 Virginia Beach high school seniors, the opportunity to teach in VBCPS is guaranteed.

The aspiring educators received Future Teacher Awards from VBCPS in late May. Once they earn a degree through an approved teacher education program and meet all employment requirements, they will be offered a contract with the division.

To qualify for the award, seniors must be enrolled in the Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) class offered in high schools or in the Early Childhood Education program at the Technical and Career Education Center. The class and program introduce students to the teaching profession and help prepare them for future studies in education.
